At Owensboro Christian Church, we embrace our community. Whether it’s through worship, events, or simply connecting with one another, there's a place for everyone here. Dive in and become a part of what God is doing in Owensboro and the tristate area.
Each weekend service has ministry opportunities for kids, students, and adults. Throughout the week, there are small and mid-size groups meeting for all ages and events happening for senior adults. Our Recreation Center is open all week for exercise and sports-related groups. And throughout the year, there are community events and opporunities to serve.

Teaching
Throughout the year, we have sermon series that teach through books of the Bible. You’ll find each week the message not only shares real truth but that it also relates to real-life experiences. The more you listen, you’ll see God’s work in the world and in your life. You’ll also begin to relate to the pastors in a personal way. And at the end of every service, one of our pastors will be available to pray with you.

Our weekend worship services are typically 65 minutes in length and includes singing, biblical teaching, and communion. The worship style is contemporary with occasional hymns. Examples of our weekend worship can be found on our watch live page.

Every service begins on time. Lights partially dim when the service begins, so it's always easier to choose your seat beforehand (but please join us whenever you arrive). If you have infants or children to check-in to our Kids programming, we recommend arriving 10-15 minutes early.

You’ll want to park as close as you can to Entrance B, where you’ll see the majority of vehicles. This is the main entrance to our weekend services. You can also use Entrance A, which is on the left side of the building and is where our church offices are located. Other entrances are designated to specific groups and ministries.

As you enter the doors through Entrance B, you will find the Welcome Center on your right. There will be a friendly face there to answer any questions you may have, offer directions to any of our children’s ministries, classrooms, or help you with anything else that might arise.

Each weekend you’ll find people wearing jeans, shorts, or even their favorite tie or dress. Wear what makes you feel comfortable and you’ll find others dressed the same way.
